Introducing the Maritimo M61

The spectacular Maritimo M61 Cruising Motoryacht was officially launched today at the 2016 Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show.

This slightly smaller version (64 feet) of the hugely popular M65 cruising motor yacht has a lower price tag but still features many of the same features and benefits of its bigger sibling.  Its shorter length simply means you no longer need to compromise on luxury and long-range performance if you have tighter berthing requirements.

The Maritimo M65, which was launched this time last year at the 2015 Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show, has been very popular with boating enthusiasts, but Maritimo saw a niche for a similar styled vessel that sat between the M65 and the M58.

Ormonde Britton, Dealer Principle BMS at Runaway Bay, and Maritimo Sales Manager Australia New Zealand, said the interest he and his BMS team have experienced so far has exceeded all expectations.

“Like the M65, this is a versatile motoryacht and very suitable for large families, and entertainers. The interest we have had already in this new model indicates that it probably will fill a gap in the market,” according to Britton.

“It is a go anywhere motoryacht which can accommodate a family in style, safety and comfort for some genuine blue water passage making.”

The spacious living area, with apartment sized living space, makes this boat suitable for accommodating a large family or more than one.  It has a full beam master suite, with king bed and en-suite, fully enclosed fly bridge, walk around decks, bi-fold doors and enclosed stairway between the bridge and lounge.

BMS (previously traded as Maritimo Runaway Bay) is a sales consultancy for new Maritimo boats. Working in conjunction with Ormonde Britton’s Maritimo Gold Coast, they have the advantage of direct access to the Maritimo factory and boat builders to match the right luxury cruiser to our clients.

“More and more, Maritimo are custom-designing their boats according to what our customers want, with lots of scope for customer input.  We can work with our customers to get the right boat built to match our customer’s specific needs and taste” said Britton.

The M61 can be custom made with a three cabin, three bathroom, configuration or four cabins, two bathrooms.  You can even have an office by eliminating one of the bathrooms.  There is the option of Volvo D13 900’s engines or the new Scania D16 – 1150hp common rail engines. It can also be set up to include crew quarters or accommodate a gyro. Customers can choose from standard gloss teak or the popular Wenge timber finish for the interiors.
